![]() ![]() I have no idea what Plex was doing to the sound but it didn't take me long to realize that I didn't like it. I noticed an immediate difference to the sound I was hearing. I was having a problem with the Plex server software on my NAS and decided to go straight to the music files until the server issue was straightened out. The reason I tried this was because my entire music library is on a NAS. Audirvana brought life to the music, IMO, that I didn't realize was missing with Plex until comparing the 2. I was using Plex and then I downloaded a trial of Audirvana to compare. Plex, while being very easy to use and a fairly trouble free option, is not helping your music sound its best. I have been where you are and this is what I personally have found. ![]() The first bit of advice I will offer is to go directly to your music files without Plex and listen to see if you notice a difference. Although I am apprehensive to directly answer your question since there are subjective variables at play, I will at least respond to it. ![]()
